What are AMD Teasing?

No point in buying a GPU until both sides have their new gen of cards out (AMD can do low power stuff as well, as the 285 shows). Chances are AMD aren't as far behind launch as they were when the 7xx gpus came out if this rumour is the new gpus, which it probably is considering what Nvidia have released. This is good as that'll mean less people will end up spending stupid amounts of money on a GPU that gets beaten by something a good deal less expensive :^) .

You forgot to post the most important pic....

AMD just extended their Synopisis partnership from 16/14nm nodes all the way to 10nm nodes. They are expecting 20nm products at the start of next year as 20nm recently went under a production phase. It'll probably be a GPU on the 25th.

Good lord, it's the new R10 300 Series, AMD suck at this marketing stuffs... nearly as bad as MSI marketing videos.

I wish people would stop bashing AMD, we need AMD to keep things moving and to keep the prices competitive. It's not anything CPU related, so we can expect an answer to maxwell.

Although AMD have been over hyping CPU releases, their GPU's have been ultra competitive and do give NVIDIA a run for their money

True that!

Yea i was insanely impressed when they released the 290x five months after the 780 and only barely beat it because of their amazing reference cooler, which basically rendered the 290x pointless for two more months until third party coolers were finally allowed.
Nobody here bashes AMD for no reason, they are the masters of incredibly stupid mistakes, if nobody gives them shit for it they won't better themselves.

It's almost as if both companies haven't screwed up multiple times in the past.

I understand companies aren't immune from criticism, but seriously you have to look at it from both sides from time to time, the only reason people are being so cynical now is because AMD's cock ups are more recent.

Nobody remembers this?

I'm always open to surprises from both camps as they have both faltered and delivered over the years.

That is exactly the point of giving them shit. Nvidia cocked up a few years ago, they took a lot of shit for it and they bettered themselves. Now AMD is cocking up and not just once, it's not about being a fanboy it's about punishing stupid moves.
When the 290x released people called it fermi 2.0, it's not like people forgot.

People who don't want to pay a metric fucktone for low end parts. Competition is good. Without AMD Nvidia could charge what they want.

lol I love that AMD are in the game, I'll not buy from them and even my stock in their company lost me money, but nVidia is doing well.

People don't half talk a load of crap when it comes to AMD.

For as long as I can remember (for around the last 5 years) people have always put AMD (ATI) down saying with every GPU generation and each set of cards released that they aren't going to be able to compete and that Nvidia will come out with something that will blown them out of the water.

This has been going on for 5 years as far as I can remember and every single time AMD are right up Nvidia's ass, every single time. Not to mention AMD dominate the low to mid range end of the market with their cards. And this is where it matters, as most of GPU sales are in the mid to low end. Nvidia may have the fastest highend cards but they also charge a premium for it.

I'm no AMD fanboy or any other type of fanboy, I just buy whatever card is best for my money, i'm even trying to sell my 290 to get a 970. But it really gets on my nerves to see people constantly coming out with complete and utter crap when it comes to AMD.

why would you buy a 970 when AMD is only 5 days away announcing their next cards:p?
