Strange about the 285X, there was news last week that AMD aren't making a 285X just a 285.

My guess is that the R9 285X was only intended to be released in the R9 3XX series, perhaps as the R9 370X.

But I suppose you'd best wait to see if that is really the case.
They may be announcing their old and some new products for the India market.
Kind of makes you wonder why they bothered with releasing the R9 285 in the 1st place, doesn't it? WTF was up with this tweet then? If an India launch of the R9 285 is all it is, doesn't make sense to me.
Oh well... it's not as if I was going to be buying a new graphics card anytime soon.![]()
Why though? Surely it makes sense to wait for both companies to have their cards out anyway ;D
