What cooling have you got dude, I think you might even be able to get that stable with decent cooling / a custom water loop.
Quick noob question but is there an actual set of rules for the 5ghz club or it just get it to boot and validate with cpuz cause I think I can get my 3930k up there for short time but I will stay at 4.6 for 24/7 use.
Wouldnt mind trying to get past 5ghz myself with my 2500k, I have a full custom waterloop ect but dunno what sort of volts its gonna need, takes 1.4v at 4.8ghz stable but i think it needs closer to 1.5+V for a stable 5ghz :|
I had to cram 1.6 at mine to get it bench stable at 5.3Ghz it was fun but deffo not adviable for long term use. I currently run 4.5 at 1.35 for 24/7 use no issues going on 10+ months now
you'd need 5.6ghz to have a 7.9 scoreYeah, I honestly don't know what I would have had to have tried to make it bench stable. My sole aim was to get it validated before it crashed! Kind of wish I'd ram the windows experience index thing, just to see the processor at 7.9. Another time, perhaps.
you'd need 5.6ghz to have a 7.9 score![]()
I wish it was only 4 !!![]()
