Weird noise coming out of speakers

When I'm listening to music or watching something on youtube and let's say I open CPU-Z I get a short but strong "ZZZZoorh" sound that stops when the program opened.

What can this weird sound be caused by? Anyone with experience with this or knows how to remove/fix it? It's pretty annoying..

Mobo is Asus Maximus V Extreme and CPU is a 2700K

Cheers

Are you using onboard sound or separate sound card? Sounds like it is potentially some kind of cross-talk on the mobo if you are using integrated sound. If that is the case getting a cheap PCI-e soundcard should solve it (plus improve audio!) However see what others come up with first before jumping in as I may be wrong. If you already have a sound card then it still sound like interference but it may be difficult to pin point.

Do you have another set of speakers or headphones you can try out and see if the problem persists?

Ok thats good so that eliminates some possibilities. The only thing I can think it could be is cross-talk so separate (preferably RF shielded) soundcard would solve it. See if anyone else gives you any other ideas that dont involve buying stuff.

it could also be my hard drive getting into interference with something because my windows logo before its booted in just makes a short stop and when im inside windows my mouse freezes for a short sec, same thing happens when opening coretemp and cpu-z

This is a quote from another thread:

"its due to your sound card driver settings. Try raising your ASIO buffer or WDm slider so it increases the latency. This will put less strain on your CPU and your artifatcs will go away."

What exactly does he mean by that? My maiden language is not english so I dont know what he means with ASIO buffer or Wdm slider, but id like to try what hes saying if you could help me figure out what he means by that

Edit: Im btw not a part of that thread so cant ask what he means by it

I think it sounds weird. My windows logo freezes too shortly before I even got into windows and my mouse also freezes 1-2 secs inside windows. When I then try to open a program like CPU-Z or CoreTemp my mouse also freezes and then I can move it around again when the program has opened. Thats not sound related and its these types of programs where the odd noise appears if im listening to music, so basically we're talking about a freezing mouse that wakes up and artifacts in my sound when listening to music + opening a program.

That sounds like a combination of several things -.-?
