weird internet problems!?

Hi guys, i really ned your help! Yesterday i went to a site with my firewall turned off (don´t know why it was off), and suddenly i got bombed with spyware and all sorts of shite. I have removed a lot of it (maybe all, ´cause the antispyware programs can´t find anymore), with help of anti spyware programs and doing some of it manually. But now, when i log on to the internet, my cpu goes through the roof. It doesn´t make any sense. I have no idea what the problem is, and i hope that some of u have some knowledge about this. I checked the router, and everything is the same as always on that part.

Oh, and i wasn´t sure as to where i should post this, so that´s why i dropped it in here

I´m using Avast Antivirus, and it´s up to date as it should be. Now explorer takes the cpu through the roof. Makes me think of the memory blaster virus that were out some time ago, but i checked, and it isn´t the memory blaster virus. But still, it could be a new memory blaster virus.. I have scanned with Avast Antivirus, Ad-Aware, Norton AntiSpyware and Xoftspy and so on, several times, and it doesn´t help. I don´t want to reformat, I have always been able to recover my com, but this time it´s wicked hard. I really need some help on this one

I would just re-install mate. If you don't have Nod32 (the best) then get it: but a nice clean re-install will clean out your HDD and also get winblow$ running quicker

Well i guess i just have to reformat like u guys say, but i hate reformating....

And when i get my com up and running i guess i´ll have to protect it better than i used to, so this won´t happen. Well tnx anyway guys

hmm guys, reformatting is an easy way out, lets try and sort his comp out first??

IMHO reformatting isn't giving up. I reformat every now and again just to speed it all up a bit. Reformatting is easy and fairly quick so I don't see it as "giving up". But thats me

well reformatting shd be the last option, and stinky has stated he doesnt want to do it if he can help it..so lets sort it out
