WC part suggestions

I've run into an issue doing my first WC build: the kit I was going to buy isn't in stock anywhere. There is only 1 kit available for sale in all of Canada. So now, I'm looking for some input on a shopping list. I've settled on 3/8 ID 5/8 OD tubing w/ compression fittings or 1/2 ID 3/4 OD w/ barbs. The only 2 WC e-tailers are NCIX and DazMode. I prefer NCIX b/c cheap shipping options.

Yeah, his shop is, but there WC in Canada SUCKS. There are quite literally 2 options in Canada for WC parts: NCIX and DazMode... and DazMode has the last RX360 kit in Canada. To order outside Canada is insane... $40 to $60 in shipping, whatever UPS charges at the door for cross boarder duties and 12% tax on top of that, so like~$330 total for a $190 kit.

indeed that is a bit of a piss take, i would just get the rx-360 kit depending on what you want to cool, leading to my question

what do you want to cool

CPU(AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 3.9-4.0GHz) for sure and possibly a northbridge. I leaned towards WC because of high summer temps in Canada. Its hit 35 this year and 42-ish last year. I've also just gotten into Folding@Home. I've calculated my cooling needs to 167 to 180W. Not sure about the NB though. Wanted 2C-5C delta, and found it with this kit

Edit: Will be replacing 7/16" tubing and 1/2" with some nice Bitspower 3/8ID 5/8 OD compressing fittings (true silver probably) and clear or blue tubing .

maybe be a bit late but you cant use the 7/16 with 3/8 fittings (would be equal to 6/16) this would mean there would be a gap between the tubing and hose which will then easily leak through first time you start up

It's not too late. I haven't bought it yet. I'm planning to use 3/8ID 5/8OD tubing, but I'm not sure what type to buy. I also saw Tom's review of the Phobya kit... and it looked good in the HAF932(planning to buy that case for sure now...60mm rad + 50mm of fan = win). I wonder if that is remotely available in Canada...looks like a big, fat NO- just checked perfomance-pcs.com. Oh well looks like I'll have some spare time on my hands till I can afford it.

tubing is one of those things, that from what i have seen, people say that it doesnt really matter as tubing doesnt really affect cooling ;other than being wider allows for water to flow, and it just depends on the person.

But Primochill tubing is supposed to be good, so give that a look, if not i dont really see any reason to go with cheaper tubing (like XSPC)

I'll go with Primochill 3/8ID 5/8OD. It's anti-microbial...lol. I'm splitting up my list into separate purchases to make it affordable. I'll have to go with uv red though.
