:confused:Can someone help I’ve asked this same question on linustechtips forum and basically got BS
I want to watercool my 3570k running stock
The set up I’m looking for is as followed
CPU block; aquacomputer cuplex kryos delrin
Pump/res; ek dcp 2.2 x-res
Radiator; xspc either rs or ax
Fittings; feser tfc f1 racing 3/8 id - 1/2 od
Tubing; alphacool alphatube hf clear 3/8id - 1/2 od
Coolant; maybe mayhems aurora extinction green
Any feedback is much appreciated:confused:

Welcome to the forums :)

Do you have any specific questions, or are you just looking for general input?
Have you chosen fans for the radiators?
What case is this going in?

One big thing that sticks out immediately is the Mayhems Aurora coolant. I know it looks amazing, but this coolant is designed for show purposes only, and isn't intended to be used in systems for more than a couple of weeks because it will just start clogging up the blocks and fittings. You should definitely change your choice here; something like Mayhems X1 is perfect for long term use.

Do you plan on expanding the loop at any point in the future? A graphics card or two for example? If so, you'll want a better pump so that you have the headroom to expand the loop in the future without having to buy a new pump. If you're just keeping it as a CPU loop, the pump will be fine.

Nice looking fittings by the way :) Once the loop is setup it will be worthwhile learning how to overclock the CPU, TTL has a great guide on it on YT, and you'll be able to get a lot more out of your CPU without temperature being a problem.

Three things. Technically, you CAN keep Aurora coolant going safely for longer than that (I've heard rumours of up to 6 months with no issue), however from a practicality stand point Remmy is correct. The loops where it lasts longer were specifically built with that coolant in mind.

Second, I personally would suggest a D5 pump, especially if you are going to include a gpu block or more in the future.

Finally, I would advise against a custom loop if you are only going to cool your CPU, and not expand further down the track... Financially it's not worth it, as you can get the same benefit for less by just getting a h100i.

I would suggest changing the tubing for primochil primoflex advanced lrt crystal clear, it's not supposed to cloud up so easy.
Also by your selected parts it looks like your going for what's cheapest if all your looking for is to cool the cpu as Surfie said you could just get an AIO

If this is true, you could also do well by looking at some of the xspc kits. They are designed for the absolute beginner in mind and contain pretty much everything except coolant. You can then play with swapping pieces in and out as required. A lot of them also come with the d5 pumps.

my case is a antec one
i wasnt palnning on doing the gpu as i have a xfx 7870 black edition

im not looking for cheap im looking for the bare min i can put in my current case

You want to watercool in a $60 case? Not going to get much of anything in there tbh, go with a H80i and you will be able to keep everything nice and quiet. Also since you are not OC'ing the CPU(which you should, or at least undervolt) the h80i will easily handle the load.
