on the other hand, why can i cool a 980X with a crappy old corsair H50 and getting decent temps, at least when not vastly overclocked?
shouldn't i be able to cool two CPU's with a 2x140mm 45mm thick radiator? doesn't need to go below zero in there

, just run stable, silent and relatively cool at high loads with stock clocks. let's say below 55 C when on heavy duty (such as video encoding for hours and hours).
i simply don't have the necessary room for a thicker or bigger radiator. external cooling is out of the question for me.
can't even fit a NH-D14 now because a primary support beam of the case chassis is in the way.
my goal is it to get an ASUS Z9PE-D8 WS as soon as released and use two Xeon E5-1650 (which is the xeon counterpart for the 3930K) on that.
gotta think about the power supply, too. got an AX1200. i'm not sure wheter this is adequate or not (feeding my two GTX 590's and both CPU's).
should i have to replace it i'll certainly go for a platimax 1500 watt.
how much energy can a 2x140mm rad generally dissipate (if operated with the proper fans)?
