question I currently have a corsair 100i but I am thinking of going down the othe water cooling if u no what u mean but wanting to no if I would see a difference in temps. just on CPU I mean tho but I am thinking of water cooling gpu a some point

Yes a custom loop with a proper block and radiator would get you better temps (and less noise) than a H100i. However, it would also be significantly more expensive.

If you wish to expand to a CPU/GPU loop later on make sure to buy a strong enough pump (I'd recommend a D5 vario).

unless your definitely going for gpu as well I would consider if the expense is worth the improved temps you may only get 2-4c depending on what CPU your using and OC voltage

Just my personal opinion but I don't plan on watercooling until I know i'd have the money for both GPU and CPU at least. As greenback says the cost is considerable and would likely not be worth the money for the CPU alone

Well if you get a big enough radiator you can build an ultra-silent CPU-only loop, so you can get a nicely overclocked CPU for very low noise levels. But whether or not that's what you'd want depends mostly on how important a silent system is to you. Temps with an H100i or even a good air cooler will not be much worse, but on overclocks noise levels will be noticeably higher.

GPUs, however will profit massively from water cooling temperature-wise.

Regardless, custom loops are expensive. Really expensive.
