Point being though, DX12 is showing some amazing potential for (realtime) graphics. So what used to be cutscene (pre-rendered) quality in Final Fantasy (at least) can become real-time.
I also just find it impressive that, sure, even if you need a killer rig for it, that the game engine can handle loads of shaders, high res textures and an insane amount of polygons in real-time and allow you to smoothly go through animations, change lighting, etc.
Normally when you make an animation (as in a video) you have to spend loads of time re-doing stuff, re-rendering, etc, because you couldn't do it real-time. Game engines may start to become better at making cinematics than 3D software with their rendering engines.
