Watch Dogs 2 PC system requirements - game delayed on PC

Watch Dogs 2 has been delayed on PC, with Ubisoft promising to add additional features and polish to the PC version.

LOL. That's about a big as a lie as -

1. I will do the washing up later.

If you put a candle under the list of features, the invisible ink shows the list of 500 bugs to be present on release as well

This will be a FAIL remember the first Watch Dogs, Ubisoft can't make any good PC games all Ubisoft can do is make crappy console ports.

So basically they made the game for consoles and the last two weeks they will polish and port to pc? I fully support delaying a game for a week or two to fix issues (God, if only they've done it with Mafia 3), but looking trough the "new features" it just seems that they finished the game, launched it on PC and were like "wow.. This does not look or run good at all, lets add keyboard and mouse support" like wtf? and dont forget to upscale the 720p to 4k so 4k PC players can enjoy "good graphics". Damn ubisoft...

I wonder if it will be subject to the usual Ubisoft downgrades like Far Cry 3, Various Assassins Creeds, The Division, Rainbow Six Siege etc.... -

This is a Ubisoft trend, delaying the PC version at the last minute with the same excuse. What a shame, I was looking forward to it. It's not like they could have implemented these features during the development...

That argument is flawed. Any triple A game will have "graphical downgrades" for the simple reason that when they show it off at events, they want to wow people. They have a trailer/scripted gameplay that's optimized for the settings they are using. As they optimize and get a level of graphical fidelity that's still great but slightly less, they are able to optimize that for many more systems that is not scripted. There's nothing wrong with that. If they didn't, people would still whine and moan it's a terrible performer and a lousy console port. May as well tweak graphics and have it run great. A smooth still pretty game is better than a beautiful slideshow after all

So advertising 1 thing then bringing something out that looks quite different to what you advertised is ok then yeah ?

Wow, Ok then....

On that note I'm going to advertise that I'm selling a Harley but in reality when the customer comes to pick it up it's going to be an old mountain bike, Can't complain though because I advertised it and it's totally ok.... ;)

Not sure why every one is getting worked up about it. The first one, under the bad performance, glitches, bugs and outright awfulness coding wise wasn't even a good game any way.

So why I would want to play another one him upstairs only knows... I got two copies free with GPU purchases, that was two too many.

Delaying is a clever ploy by many now. Those eager to get it, yet love PC will buy it on console. If it has been delayed long enough those same people will then buy it for PC also.
I dont believe it is to polish the game because those polished launches are still riddled with bugs and issues. Only Rockstar/cd projekt are the exceptions here. But then again they had pc users in mind from the beginning.

Delaying titles does help boost sales. And while I state Rockstar were an exception, they still managed to get record sales on pc with their GTA5. I was one of those who first purchased it on xbox, and then again on PC.

I hope we can skip the intro movie as this was a pain on the last one.

I have not stopped laughing at the last one, 4 way SLI support was top notch, unfortunately 4 original overclocked Titans still struggled to run it maxed out @2160p.

That's not relevant nor a good analogy. People with the mindset you're showing is what makes gamers so toxic. If people want unoptimized games, fine but then don't complain about it when they can't get performance past 30fps.
Also FYI, they tell you time and time again, everything is subject to change, it's still under development. Because.. you guessed it. Optimization.

Ubisoft downgraded The Division quite heavily compared to pre-release footage and according to Ubi it was done so it wouldn't be unfair to console users having a version of the game so far ahead of the consoles.

That's one game that was intentionally done for. But again, it's always subject to change. So they didn't do anything wrong. However with such a vast change what Ubi should have done was made videos about it showing it off. But that was old Ubi. Terrible terrible PR. Now they are much better than before and are gaining my respect for quality games. Like RS6 for example. Very good game that's pretty balanced and bug free outside of a couple glitches that pop up every now and then but they fix them pretty quickly

Agreed, I've not played a massive amount of R6S but from what I have played it's pretty damn good and the performance is top notch given the visuals.
