Just a warning\information that the Ryzen 5 CPU is only supported on most AM4 boards with a BIOS update. I have first hand experience and had to refer to a local shop to put an older AM4 chip in there for a BIOS update.
Please take note when purchasing a new AM4 board and using the Ryzen 5, there's no guarantee of getting a board with the correct BIOS revision.
This was most certainly the case with Gigabytes versions and the local tech shop guy said he's aware of this on other boards too.
AMD do know this is an issue and they're offering a 'loan CPU' for you to use when you encounter this issue, effectively allowing you to boot up the machine and perform a BIOS update.
