They also didn't change the tech under the hood, resulting in VERY poor performance on highly demanding fun maps like "Tree Tag". We're talking about 30-50 FPS sometimes... The same scene in the original WC3 plays at 170-250 FPS.

I also hear people who had classic WC3 on battlenet got downgraded to reforged even if they hadn't bought the game. Blizz not allowing refunds even for people who hadn't installed the game.

How is getting Reforged "lite" for free a downgrade? I've been looking for that on the client yesterday and didn't find anything.

I wonder if he means, those wanted the original true WC3 game as it was released long ago (via purchasing) were forced to upgrade to the remastered. If that is the case, I would be disappointed too.

Unless reforged has the option to play via remastered images, or classic (like Halo MCC). If not, they do have grounds for complaining.

Reforged "lite" = Reforged with Classic graphics, so that would be no problem. If you buy the full Reforged you can even switch between graphics options.

As far as I've heard they took a lot of stuff out of the original and put little back in, it's been unplayable or not even launching, so if you had a perfectly working classic game and now it has less and maybe not even launching it's a downgrade

It has a 0.5 user rating on meta critic right now. Blizzard definitely missed the mark.
