Do you know the basics?

Make sure you have enough voltage running through.

That should keep you busy for a bit.

Welcome btw!

And set the ram and the boot strap manualy.

Also watch the temps, you must stress test for afew hours to see what your temps go up too, anything above 60c and you need better cooling or less volts.

3.6may just be out of reach. Up the vcore to 1.45 and if that cant get it to boot stable you may have to aim for a lower clock speed.

MCH (northbridge) needs to go up aswell.

Those temps are too high mate. You might not be able to get 3.6 with that cooler.

Id go for 3.4 with lower volts tbh.

I must put 1.51V on the nb to pass linpack test with my old Q6600 @ 8x450

just test it !

i still can't get a good setting for 3.6ghz

OK DO ANYBODY HAVE A GOOD SETTING FOR 3.2GHZ?

Mate you dont just get good settings.

Read the guides and work up slowly. you are just trying to do to much too quick when you dont understand enough about what you are doing.

If you read the guides and more importantly take your time rather than just ****ing volts up you will learn and understand your machine better.

leave it running prime95 or similar tests overnight, Ive heard a few people say they like to leave it at least 8- 10 hours. If it survives that long its probably going to be pretty stable I'd guess. 3.5Ghz is a pretty good improvment too, nice work

yea 3.5ghz :nono:was just a lil bit to hot for me i down it to 3.4ghz and im happy whit iy lol:worship:

I can't get 3.6 stable on air, but 3.3ghz is fine for me (not now as my mobo is packing up but it was :p)

i've got a pretty high VID on my chip anyway (at least I think)
