Hey guys, ive been working on a benchmark clock for my CPU + RAM recently... and ive hit a wall >_>.

index.php

Any advice on getting a higher clock? Remember its just for a quick benchmark and not for 24/7 use...

first up, drop that voltage u'll ruin it, than mess around with the bus instead of the multi, even at the same clockspeed a higher bus/multi ratio will perform better but make sure it doesn't overclock your ram. try googling some guides aswell, there have also been a couple of people before you who asked, maybe you can read those threads for tips

Drop which voltage? I've been running amd 965 at ~v1.46-1.48 for about a year now. With my setup, it only gets too hot (high 50s) during prime at > v1.5 and 4Ghz.

I was only able to get 4Ghz at ridiculously high voltage > v1.5. Running prime, it got to high fifties within five minutes. 62 is max temp. according to amd, supposedly. Try v1.48-v1.5 for 3.9Ghz.

I'm running whatever's in my sig right now. I tried to maximize memory bandwidth and minimize latency in Aida64. am3 cpus have disappointing memory bandwidth...

EDIT: What's your cooling setup?

EDIT2: I'm running 64bit Windows 7, btw.

unless we know what your working with mate its hard to help.

faster fans, better cable management, removing the side of case all could help idk.
