Not many peeps about seem to want to do other peeps v/mods. The best thing to do is to practice on an old PCB. A few hours and you should have it. Theres plenty of guides around on the net for soldering and doing the 9800 v/mods. Just take your time matey.

pencil mod is for the x800 ..

and not for the 9800's

Yep you can pencil mod them cards too.

Another way round it is to use SMD grabbers. Its not my way but might just be yours.

Send a PM to ThickBrit and see if he could vmod it for you if you want it hardmodded. He's being nice enough (when I can actually get it out to him) to do all the mods to my IC7 MAX3. Although I am slightly warey of putting it under the Mach now after he's lost 6 under Mach units .
