Vmod a 7950 gx2?

Is it possible to Vmod a 7950 gx2? Has anyone done this? I would think that both cards could be conected to a single pot (for core volts for example) to keep the resistance the same. Any thoughts?

It must be possible, just whether anybody has done it yet I do not know.

Rather than wire the two voltages together, you'd probably be better off using a double pot, so that as you turn a single knob, both cores will adjust together.

However, as each core will probably vary slightly you may wish to adjust the voltage separately.

I think Mav is running the GX2 with watercooling, so he may well be running VMods...

Mine is modded - I have jumper settings on each core for various voltage settings and the ram is vmodded too.

Done at your own risk - Mr Dizzy had 1.5v on teh vcore when it wasair cooled and was rock solid @ 700mhz core clocks if I recalll correctly.

I am using 1.6v on watercooling running 750/820 :)

This card gets very hot after being volt modded i would not reconmend unless your thinking of water cooling as well

You are looking at 50+ ambient of 23 degrees and runs up to 75degs loaded.

I read somewhere that volt modded to 1,5v, they run in the 90's on air :O

All above are Celsius ;)
