I've been running SP1 for months now with that Defender fix, not a single problem here.

Yeah pretty sure mine found it on its own a couple of weeks back. I was waiting for the updater to find it before downloading.

I have been running Vista SP1 for a good month now, no problems yet.

I am yet to try to SP1, iirc isnt sp2 due out for next year? why not make that a monster of a one and slap it out early this year to make up for the balls up on this one?

I had an update which KILLED, YES, KILLED my drivers for my ethernet, therefore meaning a nice little reformat.

It was at that time when everything was how i wanted it and all in its own little place. Can i not get some sympathy from some of you guys?? hee hee

Last statement I read about drivers and SP1 was to be prepared to reinstall ALL of them.

Not a guarantee that they would all be screwed or eventually screw up, but just to bare it in mind.

The drivers work just as well as they did for pre-SP1 installs, it`s just that they could need re-applying.
