Virtu MVP

So I am working on my little gaming computer, right now I have a GTX660 (non TI) and a 3570k and want to use Virtu MVP. Looking on the website (http://lucidlogix.com/support/download/driverdownloads-virtu-mvp/) it shows being 8.1 compatible, but after download and install it shows it's not. I am sure it has something to do with an updated .net framework as the MVP driver is from Dec of 2013 and I am sure I have had updates since then. I have already tried Win8 compatibility mode with no luck (just BSOD every startup).

I just want to know if anyone has found any info on this? I have been looking and can't find anything recent pertaining to this issue.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Why would you want to use a 3rd party piece of software that does virtual vSync and FPS while gaming, surely all it does is get in the way and unnecessarily use resources when lets face it nVidia & AMD already supply their own proprietary game enhancers.

Because... I want to know why it isn't working.

That's fair enough. Do you have all the separate .net runtime libraries or just the recent (I think) v4.5 one? I found just installing the "all in one" latest one caused sound issues so I had to install all the older ones in order first.

Plus note: I also had to reinstall the Dx 11 runtimes after the .net install something conflicted somewhere.

It seems as though I need 2.0. Which is $40, but does come with a 30 day trial. And the reason I wanted it was because you do get a slight performance bump using the hyperformance mode in most gaming applications. An example is one I just tested and that being 3dmark 11. I averaged 43FPS with my 660 on a performance run and then enabling the hyperformance mode averaged 56FPS. Which is what I was looking for.

More than a 1000 point difference!
