Video game Bafta's

Seriously? CoD4? Don't get me wrong it is a good game but nothing when compared with Fallout3/GTA IV.

The story is predictable. The game is generic. Why? Do these people even play games?

GTA IV needs an award for it's fantastic physic engine.

And Fallout 3 for just immersing the player into another world.

WTF, why is Dead Boring... I mean Dead Space in there?

OMG, I am so angry! :p
 
I generally avoid anything with the name Mario in it so I am rather suprised that it was nominated game of the year?

Have these Judges not played God of War, Fallout, Oblivion, GTA IV, L4D, DMC, Mirrors Edge, RA3?

Seriously, I'm rather confused if my taste is just exotic or that I'm just blind and stupid enough to be unable to fathom how Mario became game of the year.

I bet the judge is a 5 year old waving around his wi... WII remote. :)
 
Yeah u gotta bear in mind the voters/judges.

Similar to movie listing awards, they`ll generally vote for a movie that is fashionable to favor.

Although Cod4 did deserve at least one award..for multiplayer at least

GTA4, meh suppose the physics was something new but the game itself is boring to hell
 
GTA is just boring, same thing all the time. I got bored after an hours play. I still play Cod4/5 now.

having said that, this is coming from a guy who enjoyed playing the bond game :p

lol at Bond game.. Nightfire wasn't too bad but QoS was ermm. a POS. :)
 
But repetitive. And nothing you hadn't seen before.

GTA IV has got some very clever Physics as well as a very well written story and stunning visuals (On PC).

I honestly believe that GTA IV looks better than Crysis... I perfer the graphical style. So meh.. whatever floats your boat. But CoD is getting old as it has yet to bring anything new apart from shooting and being overly patriotic.

We need a futuristic CoD, that could be interesting and new. Admitedly, GTA IV has some base aspects that haven't changed since the top down games but it has got some sweet details and amazing characters.

But meh... :D

Yep, COD4 is good and everything, but I can spend ages on GTA, either drifting in the wet, killing random people, getting chased by cops, on the road, air, water :)
 
Then start thinking about the modding (PC). I have a grab script which when you press 'B' Niko grabs onto things in front of him.

So yeah, I can now hang off of cars/heli's AWESOME! :D

awesome :D might have to buy GTA for PC :p, maybe sell my 360 copy for it lol
 
I am impressed with it. Lots of people complaining about performance but I have had no such problems.

I also had a go on it on a Xbox and PS3 and both are running it in the 20FPS. So a PC running at 60 feels like heaven. :)
 
Yeah 360 does get a tad laggy, with all the HDR and the amount of cars / people. It runs 10x better when its dark.

Really? PC it is the over way around.. you will lose FPS when in the dark because of the shadows mabe by all the headlights. Interesting.

Somewhere there is a list of the rough settings the console uses compare to what the PC can do. They are all the equivalent of low/medium on PC. Cool stuff.

Fingers Crossed for Lost and Damned to come to PC.

ANYWHOOO, back to the Baftas... Sigh. :(

Yeah :p. It's nice that Codemasters got best sports game with Grid, even though it was up against Fifa etc :)
