Very odd DDR3 timings

Dualnames

New member
I am looking for memory for my new system and I am debating between two of them. One of them has an odd timing how ever

The first one is a 9-9-9-24

while the odd one is 9-9-9

..

I know its not a typo cause its on their official website.

Now if the last number is missing would that be a bad thing?

Both are from NewEgg. Can't post links yet, I'm new ;)

First one: G.SKILL PI Black 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Desktop Memory Model F3-16000CL9T-3GBPI-B

Odd one: Kingston HyperX 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 (PC3 16000) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory

The 9-9-9 one is more like 9-9-9-guess.

It'll probably work on anything from 9-9-9-18 upwards, but then again so will the G.Skill kit.

Don't worry about it, just pick whichever kit you like more.
