I'll be sure to post up specs of the Venice though! I'm anticipating an easy 3ghz with a 3200+ (maybe a 3500+ if I feel like blowing my wad).

In the meantime I need to get this brand new Winnie replaced, bleh.

frag i dont think anybosy could have as bad luck as u

I couldn't agree with you more! I've never had this horrible of a project yet. Worst thing that's ever happened to me on a new build is a no post due to something stupid like a mobo groundout on the case...

This has just become a burden and complete money pit. I'd be willing to say that by the time this is all said and done I'll have over $4000 into it. I thank God for giving me such a good job that let's me have a high enough income to have so much fun with computers :)

Computers are fun period! I love taking home someones pc and working on it. I have this HP sitting here, 550MHz Celeron, 4x CDRW, and I'm gonna put Windows ME on it for a family member. 64MB Ram, etc. I enjoy working on anything.

Yup!

Once a year me and my best computer nerd buddy get together with our archaic computer parts and build antique computers just for shits and giggles.

This year I'm thinking instead of a 286 or 386 we're gonna go with a first gen Pentium 66 and 32mb of ram :D Those parts all came from the first computer I purchased with my own money back in the day, earned it all over summer mowing lawns and shoveling driveways during winter. That computer cost over $2000, w00t... Mad pimpin :) First computers to feature a 2x cd-rom drive! I remember it clearly to this day. It was made by a company called Quantex and came preloaded with Windows 3.1. I upgraded it later that year with Windows 95 which I had purchased on 15 floppy disks.... Those were the days eh? OS's on floppy disks! haha.

I miss the old ass computer days when we all got to access the internet on a per minute charge basis. haha. Good shit. For any of you younger guys out there you missed the pre widespread internet era of using BBS's. I was a BBS addict and actually ran my own for about 3 years from my Quantex, I remember buying 2 extra modems for it and having my dad get me 2 extra phone lines in the house so I could run it. Man was that fun... "The Eagles Nest" was the name of it and I used to hold LORD competitions (LORD = Legend of the Red Dragon which was the best text based game ever :)).

Edit: Hell I still remember the very first computer that my dad bought for his office... It was an IBM 286 running DOS, that was the machine that made me instantly fall in love with computers. I remember staying up past my bedtime playing games like Captain Comet off of 5.25" disks, those were the days!
