Vengeance 1600 OC HELP

Hello ladies and gents, I have a MSI big bang xpower2 and an i7 3820 with 32 gb vengeance 1600 ram. my problem is:
I got the cpu stable at 5ghz (125X40) 1.55v, but any attempt I make at getting the Ram over 1666 mhz fails. I have had a massive variety of VTT and SA and PLL voltages.

Though I admit im not the expert on oc and dont really know what half of the other voltages do on the MB( its quit advanced in my books:huh:) , lol. im trying to get the Ram stable at 2000mhz but i cant even get past 1666mhz, any insight on this or anyone whom has worked with this board, with advice would be great! maybe im just approaching it from the wrong angle.
Thanx

You may have to drop the CPU overclock to achieve anything over 1600mhz. The memory controllers aren't that strong on the 3820 as far as i know. Try bringing your clock speed down to like 4.6 and then look at the ram and you should get some more headroom with the RAM overclocking.

What is your RAM rated at?

The ram is rated at 1600, yeah I dropped the oc a bit anyway wasnt all to stable at 5ghz it only ran about 30 min on occt, now at 4.75 and seems to be stable.

Still not getting much with the ram :( I even tried lowering the cpu to 3.3 and still no matter the voltage on the SA , it wonnt accept 1800 even.

What voltages should i change for the RAM? the SA, VTT and PLL? and how important is each to achieve stable oc?

Thanks for the help so far mate

If it is rated at 1600 as far as i know it may not go over it. It is guaranteed to work at that speed and those volts. If you want more MHZ you need a better memory kit. A kit that has been tested at the higher MHz like a 2400 kit or something.
