A steam console would probably work pretty well. Access to 90% of MS/Sony libraries plus PC and simplified hardware setup(plug in HDMI) for console users. I think they could pull it off if they wanted.

Xbox is on its way out and Steam has never been more popular. There's never been a better moment for a Steam console.
