Valve adds official support for OSVR to Steam

I've been looking at getting Razers VR headset, Has the same specs as the Rift at £150 less than the Rift.

Yeah, but it isn't as well supported yet and it not the final retail model. It also has no announced plans for motion controls. I'd wait.

Well the motion controls don't bother me, Just the head tracking.

If the final retail model costs the same as the latest development kit then I may take the plunge but if it goes into Rift pricing territory I'll pass.

As far as I know Microsoft is doing AR with Hololens and not VR, despite some saying Hololens is VR.

Hololens will never make it. It is nothing much but a tech demo. It will never meet the masses.

Microsoft are doing a VR headset for Windows and it is going to cost over half of what the current ones cost. It has been pictured and priced, IIRC It was $300 or $350, something like that. Might have even been cheaper.

I would scoff at this information but tbh every Microsoft peripheral I have ever owned has been of sterling quality and made to last. Plus hey, it's affordable in one pay check without getting absolutely reamed out by your significant other.
