USB Advice

Hi All

Sorry to ask this question but on the DFI SLI-DR I have the USB from my MACH II connected like this

1 2 3 4 X ( My motherboard is upside down )

R W G B

I believe this is right but I get USB connection Failed.

Do I Just need to unplug it, boot the computer, then re-plug, so hopefully windows will then reconise it so I can then install the software?

yup, pretty sure thats right. The wires are a different colour sequence on mine though..typical! LOL

I was getting "MachII found" but "USB Connection failed" so I went into device manager where the MachII was coming up as a yellow triangle/question mark icon. I installed the drivers through that and its fine now

Any good?

That is correct. I know yours is fine on the control board, as I wired it up to match the P4C800-E Deluxe. The layout of the USB is correct in your post too, as I just checked it against the DFI SLI-DR Manual

Thanks K404, I found it as well in the device manager and installed the drivers.

It now works fine
