USB 3.0 and devices

This may seem like a a stupid question but do you need a USB 3.0 device to take advantage of the increased data transfer rate or can you throw any USB 2.0 device into it? The reason I ask is becuase many mother boards (and the next line of mobo's especialy) are integrating USB 3.0 into their products. What use is this without wide spread USB 3.0 devices like mise and key boards? I've been looking for a USB 3.0 mouse and keyboard but can't find one. Are companies like Razer waiting until the 2011 chipsets with native USB 3.0 support to come out?

first off usb 3.0 is backwards compatible with usb2.0 so 2.0 will work in a 3.0 but without the added increase. Secondly the 3.0 is more along the lines of faster transfer speed for storage devices and the likes. Doubt there'd be much improvement for like mice and keyboards.

USB 3.0 might get rid of ghosting on keyboards
