UPS - says it all.

Well I was expecting a delivery today and no thanks to all the snow it didn't make it to my door. Grr. But I'm not here to rant... :D

Checked eBuyer and they new deliver with UPS (Not sure why they changed because CityLink were ace) and I checked up on UPS and it was on the truck at 7:37am. Then at 12:58pm it says "ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED". Eeeegad!

So I was sondering if anyone else has been through this situation? Well, where the weather has actually affected post. By reschedualling does it mean I have to reschedual? Or is it UPS are going to try and re-deliver for next day? I don't really like to ring up companies and I know i'd find out that way what they're doing... but yeah, I'm chicken until I really have to ring them. :D

Thanks in advance, :)

Dani

Ah right, cheers guys. :)

Saw the weather report for me tomorrow, it's going to be icey, guaranteed they won't deliver now. :( My new monitor and headset need a good home soon! :(

Ive just got back from newcastle and there was a UPS wagen over turned on the A1 ... Between druham and newcastle. The whole road was blocked and have to divert off the ai and go country bunkin more dangiruos route insted.

That was about 1 hour ago.

Looks like UPS aint haveing a good day of it. this wasnt small vechal it was a artic that had over turned.

Oh and personaly any driver out in this wather is takeing there lives in there own hands becuase the roads are in such a state so my hats off to any guys delivering in this weather.,

I was getting a lift back from work this evening and some kid in his Corsa was right up our ass. We let him pass when there was space, but caught up two minutes later as he was facing the wrong way.

I'm thinking of ordering a new print for my wall. I want to as it's bare and lonely, but I don't want to in case it takes posty forever to deliver it. Waiting for things you've bought is so frustrating. Why can't they just teleport kit straight to your house?

Good luck with your postal adventure Dani.

Ordered a Dlink router off ebuyer , got the same message from parcel force ,unable to deliver because of adverse weather conditions.

i had the same problem just b4 xmas when we first got hit with the snow it was meant to come one day but it didnt arrive till the next day so u should have it today weather permitting

You're right there Mayhem, my hats off to the drivers as well. Didn't really think of it like that... Now I feel guilty! :(...

Well it seems the driver's out on the road again so fingers are crossed for his delivery and safe journey! :D

Thank you Pseudonym, hope your parcel comes soon, huggy, as well. Cheers for the information thestepster.

Now another thing which is bothering me, since I bought this off eBuyer with 3-working-day delivery, although not much could have been helped, but should I email/call them up about my postage? I did pay extra to have it sent out for yesterday (wednesday) so I was wondering if I'd get a refund or whatnot on postage?

Mine came just now. Also congratulated the poor driver in having to work in these conditions. Think I cheered him up a bit. :)

Ebuyer buys direct from distributors and it usualy gets sent out directly so it depends whitch disty the item came from

errrr guess you have not seen the size of the Ebuyer warehouse then?

i wasnt saying that they didnt have there own warehouses just that some items go direct, sorry if i wasnt clearin what i said :?

I think I won't be an annoying customer and demand for a refund on delivery. I'm very happy at the moment with the whole proceedure (now that I have everthing now :D)
