Upgrading to C2D!!!

Well i just had my bday and now i have $475 to spend on some new parts for my computer. Here's the stuff that i am thinking about getting. What kind of OC do you think i will be able to get out of it?

Processor - E4300

Happy birthday too mate if I didn't wish you before. The e4300 overclocks really well in the vicinity of 90% achievable on air. The RAM you've gotten yourself (D9GMH) should assist you greatly in achieving the desired result...very nice ram There Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro is a great little heatsink, admittedly there are better ones (Scythe etc) out there, but that will certainly get you on your way. Now I expect to see plenty of pics

Sorry to tell you after i posted this i told my mom and she said that i am not allowed to spend $500 on new parts. So.....i am just going to get A64 FX 3800+ and 2x1GB of RAM and an external HD. Will not be as good as a C2D but it will do me just fine. One question, is the opty 165 much faster then the FX? I know that the otpy has more L2 cache but will that make much of a difference?

Agreed, any of the C2Ds will spank that Athlon, probably even the e2160 and they clock like a monster.

And on another note, try not to post in threads that haven't been active for a few days. You haven't done anything wrong, just most things have been solved by that time, or the thread just isn't really important and bringing it back up just sort of clutters things. Thanks
