Upgrading from G930

I have an G930 and been using it over 4 years. I plan to keep it until it dies. Maybe not :P. I am not sure if I can get a noticeable difference when I change from my G930.

I'd like to get a recommendation for a new headset just in case. I can spend up to 400$ but I am not sure it would be worth spending that much.

I will primarily use it for gaming and music. I play every type of games: FPS, FTS, RPG etc. Not always competitively but there are games I play competitively (CS GO and SC2 for example)

I am not sure if I can get a good performance for both gaming and music listening with a single headset. Maybe I need one for gaming and one for music?

1.) What are your recommendations? I am considering Sennheiser G4ME Zero.
2.) Do I need a sound card as well? My G930 is connected via USB (so I did not bother getting a sound card). My X370 Taichi's on-board sound card is probably of "meh" quality.

Thank you very much.

I have the Game Ones and I love them i have mine with a soundblaster ZXR but the new AE5 is supposed to be pretty good too or you could pair it with a Strix raid pro or an Essence STX II or if you want you can get an external dac, whatever you think is the best for your needs

I would pick up something like a Sennheiser 598 or 599's or 558's. With the money left over, pick up a USB condenser mic or a Yeti. This setup will blow the 930's away.

I went from 930 to the Steelseries Wireless H, now re-branded Siberia 800.
Its miles better, and there is no wire. Swap-able battery and the base doubles as a charger.
Only downside is no G-keys. I used those for push-to-talk.
