Upgrade from GTS 460

Hey everyone

Got a quad core Phenom II X4 3.20Ghz

with 8GB RAM

But my graphics card is GTS 460 overclocked to 915/1820/1900

I am looking at the GTX 550 Ti and the 560 Ti cause I can trade my card in and get one of those for around $100-125

I'm currently playing Mass Effect 3 and with 4xMSAA + 4xSGSSAA (the only way it doesn't bug the sh*t outta me with jagged blinking lines) it's down to 30ish FPS and during cutscenes even down to 18 FPS (and this is while overclocked)

Skyrim and Witcher 2 also cap around 30 with graphics maximized and anti-aliased from Inspector.

Question is - will upgrading to 550 or 560 make a difference? And if the difference between those two is $25, is 560 worth those extra pennies?

Any advice is hugely appreciated.

I came from a 460 to a 560 and have seen a huge difference, overclocking potential on the 560's are great and the extra ram helps too ...

Can you wait ? It might be a good idea to see what nvidia are gonna announce over the next couple of weeks....

Even if your budget isn't going to stretch to the new nVidia series, I'm sure the release will cause a wave effect on the 500 series, price wise. (?)

Well my 460 is 1GB and the 560 Ti would be 1GB too, so no extra RAM.

But I hear 500 series plays well with anti-aliasing which is slowing my 460 down.

I'm not sure if it would make a huge difference for me cause I'm buying it from an acquaintance who does custom PC rigs and he's buying my 460 off for about 50 (it's like 6mo old) so he's giving me a decent deal for $100-125, given that the 560 Ti is in the $200-300 range at stores.

Mainly I wanted to know if the jump is worth it and if you think I'll see fps improvement running maxed graphics on games like Skyrim and ME3 with the added antialiasing/supersampling.
