Updated bios, problem viewing one of my HDD's!

I Have updated my bios, from a 2007 bios to a 2009 rom(1403), when i done this i couldnt get windows to run off the HDD, so i reinstalled again, and in the bios 3 hdd drives show, but only 2 in windows?

my system; Core Components:

Graphics: BFG Nvidia 8800 Ultra OC 768Mb PCIe HDCP (with Blastflow Custom Water-cooling Block)

RAID Card: Adaptec 1220SA 2xSata PCIe x1 Raid Controller

Optical Drive: SONY-NEC Optiarc AD-7173A 18x DVDRW Black OEM

is it visable in storage manager? Hvae you tried a different sata cable?

Storage manager? where is that located, ive used windows 7 manager and its shows, will try another sata, but it was fine..previous to updating bios..

Tom means Storage Snap-In in the management console. Right click My Computer and then click manage. In Management Console, click on Storage.. Does the drive show in there? I vouch that its not formatted or in RAW format.

Yes it shows in there, its a storage drive, with data on there...have have used this drive perfectly previous bios update..

Sorted it, how crazy is this, just give it a drive letter and that done the trick!
