Up dated bios

Firstly the mb in question is an asus p8p67 pro. after many attempts I managed to update the bios. Yeah I thought running the latest software should make it run even better. .
No it's not running at all, started by loosing 6gb sata ports. nothing would show up if plugged into 3gb sata ports, then my ssd in the marvell port disappeared.
So the question is, what do I do now?

Will check tomorow if there is any warranty left.

What bios are you using now?
Dont use Asus EZ flash to try and flashback the bios

We just flashbacked a bios on a P8P67-Pro 3.1 and was very easy using the FTK tool in this link.

Tools flash and recover BIOS on ASUS P8xxx boards (FD44Editor, FTK)
http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1726429Tools

"Now FTK batch files are using FD44Copier to transfer all data from current BIOS to new BIOS during any kind of flash, but only if that data wasn't lost before. There is no need to use FD44Editor for data transfer if that data present in current BIOS. Just reflash and poweroff, and that's it".

All you need is an empty flash drive (formated to Fat 32) a new Asus bios and follow the directions to install the tool and bios onto the flash drive.

If you have any questions just ask and I will be glad to help...

Thanks for the advice, but the board has already gone back under warranty, seems mine was an early one that managed to slip past the recall from intel.

You are welcome,

Glad you got it figured it out....If you update your bios from v1.****/or 2.*** to 3.*** It also changes the ME version from 7.**** to 8.**** during the bios update...If you dont care for the new bios V 3.*** update, you can use this tool to reflash an older bios version and it also reflashes to the older ME version and all of the other info in bios such as mac address and such, which cant be done with Asus flash tools..

hmmm probably first time i've heard of someone rma a board because they of bios update.

oh well glad you got it sorted out

I use Novatech in Portsmouth, only 15 miles away, they deal with all the postage.
I will be checking it's a B3 version when it comes back from Asus this time.
