Unofficial OC3D Drivers Team chat

that car is a nightmare with keyboard, corners like a truck, no traction at all, spinning all day.

Ill make you guys a video with the wheel, im tempted to get it out now but dont fancy a long night tonight!

Apparently its a bit of a swine to handle properly though.....
(not updated it yet though, 1GB update is a little much at the moment.)

guess ill have fun driving it ;)

Not sure how to think about this.
i sure as hell won't pay more than 10 euros, it's a bit sad to see DLC being announced before the game is even released. i hoped for the nurburgring to be free.

F40? Damn, damn, damn, I am stuck with a linux laptop until new year. :p

But, indeed, I hope moddability will keep the game alive without having to buy DLC.

Well that's games for you these days all about the DLC, lets make a game take half of it out then charge you extra for the full game we made in the first place

meh, they'll release mod tools, if it isn't cheap as chips i will wait for a modded nordschleife.

So i spent the afternoon playing AC, i refused to do anything else but play!

I came across http://www.radiators-champ.com/RSRLiveTiming/index.php

and set it up, its nice to have some competition makes driving a little more fun, i spent about 2 hours getting the wheel setup perfect, omg the damper setting the bane of my life!

Here's some game play footage i also played around with the graphics settings, it looks pretty now, not as good as Pcars but thats in its own league!

finally a ferrari i want to see, the only one i liked so far was the 599xx
/edit
even though i don't really get the appeal of a digital refmeter etc. the refmeter in the pagani huayra looks so much better, heck the refmeter in a 15 year old VW golf looks better.

Figured I'd ask you guys as you are more experienced with driving sims rather than just posting a thread.

I'd like a wheel controller for my PC, along with some racing titles. What's the best wheel for the money under £100? Easy to mount on a desk preferred, I'll have a place for storage when not in use. Pedals optional.

Also, what's the best driving game you can get at the moment? I'm not picky, I like anything from Dirt to F1, or even realistic sims, although I don't know many.

Help me out? ;D

Id get the Thurstmaster Ferrari Wheel, you can pick it up for around £60, next step up would be the Logitech Driving Force Wheel which is about £120, then after that its the Logitech G27 or the Thrustmaster T500RS which are £150+

As for games, are you planning on getting competitive? or just something to blast around for a bit?

Alright, I'll take a look. Had a Thrustmaster wheel in the past that was pretty sweet, way way back in the day.

It was this one

And just something casual/semi-serious, but not competitive. Just as a change of pace really.

Have a look at the Dirt series or Assetto Corsa, GRID is ok for an arcade style game
