Unknown Restarting

For a few days now I have been having some random restarts, but without a single trace of the restart.

Temps are all fine.. Overclocks have been stress tested for hours and been the same for 2months.

No blue screen(Automatic restart is off) no events in the event log. Nothing.

I just wake up/get home to a log in screen.

Any ideas? Cheers guys. ;)

Power cut?? Auto updates (although they normally ask you to restart)?

All other computers including server and work PC are still running - so power cut cannot of happened.

And I Nlited auto-updates so that it doesn't do it(I don't like auto stuff). :)

Any drivers missing? And voltages rock solid? possibly N-lited certain drivers and system files out?

Got a nice little Blue Screen just then. But probably because of me.. I tried to open core temp. This came up:

Stop C000021a

0x0000005(0x7c9106c3 0x00c1dd88)

Not alot else apart from The system has shutdown..

And in reply to you llwyd, I do keep getting these in my event viewer:

"There was error [DATABASE OPEN FAILED] processing the driver database."

"There was error [DATABASE NOT LOADED] processing the driver database."

Not sure what those are about.. google didn't come up with alot. :(

Windows has a 'bad driver database' that PnP checks with before loading drivers and usually this error can be indicative that a driver may be being blocked. Are you running latest drivers? Does the event give any indication as to which .dll/program is causing the issue?

It gives no clues what so ever as to what could be wrong. :(

Bloody useless, all drivers are up-to-date.

The only thing I have changed is the X-FI drivers, might try going back to using the ones from the disc.

Thanks for the help guys!

Thanks for the concern Chudderz.

Well, the odd looking blue screen was because of me opening Core Temp. Not sure why. But everytime it crash on launch.. so i won't run that anymore.

But seems stable enough all last night and today. ;)

It strikes again.. the machine was doing nothing what so ever.

Went down stairs came back up and im looking at a logon screen, what in gods name could it be?

Nothing in the event log apart from...

"There was error [DATABASE NOT LOADED] processing the driver database."

"There was error [DATABASE OPEN FAILED] processing the driver database."

That only seems to come up after a restart.
