Uncharted 4 singleplayer framerate will be locked at 30fps

In a Q&A session, game developer Naughty Dog confirmed that the singleplayer of Uncharted 4 will run at 30fps. Do you prefer quality over framerate (1080p at 30fps) or vice versa (720p at 60fps)? Let us know.

Not surprised the least bit. The demo they showed at E3 was too good to be true (which is the norm now).

I highly doubt the game will stay locked at 30 fps, especially on the more intensive scenes.

I hope they'll add an option to disable the framerate lock (like they did with The Last of Us Remastered). I don't mind variable framerate that much, as long as its around 30 or higher. But yeah, that gameplay demo looked way to good indeed.

If it manages to stay at a constant 30 fps, with very minor dips, it should be okay.

Doesn't The Last of Us Remastered run at 1080p60?

Yeah it does, but I think they added an option to lock the framerate at 30fps. Apparently some actually preferred the cinematic experience.

EDIT: it was actually in the same interview in which Naughty Dog stated they were aiming for 60fps for Uncharted 4.

Since it's Single Player for 30fps it's not such a big issue. The fact they are doing it for Multiplayer just by slightly reducing graphics is a smart idea imo for console devs. MP benefits more from the higher FPS than SP does as it's more difficult to kill another player than AI.

I wholeheartedly agree. Kind of annoys me that some blokes expect a two year old machine that retails for £349 to run modern games at 1080p60 too. People need to get their expectations down imo.
