Ubisoft Reveals Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Pre-ordered, As it's following in the footsteps of Wildlands it's a must buy for me, Absolutely loved that game.

I too loved Wildlands. Got about 20 hours in and it became almost insanely difficult so I bailed. Had my money's worth out of it though. Loved the stealthy attacks on the prisons. God that was awesome.

I keep considering picking Wildlands up. I've some credit on Amazon right now, and the full package (Season Pass, Year 2 Pass, etc) is £22.99.

Is it worth it at that price for a solo player do you think?

It won't be anywhere near as good in solo, IMO.

Part of what makes it so good is planning with your buddy, then one of you taking out guards with a sniper rifle whilst the other sneaks in.

If you've got a mic I'll quite happily start again and jump in with you. My buddy in USA has been so busy lately I've not gamed much at all.

Shout me if you fancy it. I'm around most days and evenings (I'm about as popular as the clap these days).

Might be a good time to see who else is up for it too?

Ubisoft will never learn. This is obviously a scripted gameplay sequence. I want to see the real thing. This might as well be a CGI cutscene. It's entirely useless.

They have learned and its working out for them. People are falling for it. I mean we already have some pre ordering :)

Nothing wrong with pre-ordering.

Might be because I'm American but if I buy a gun I have to wait 10 days to get it. Technically still a pre order.

Sometimes when buying a car, you "pre-order" it as it gets delivered to your dealer

Just used to it. Never understood why people are so adamant against it. It's not like you won't get a refund either.

I agree that there's nothing inherently wrong with pre-ordering.
However, pre-ordering is when you order something that doesn't exist on the market yet. Of course when you order a gun or a car you have to wait for delivery. That's what ordering something means. But the product exists.

If you normally play Solo, you will love it. It's so rewarding to complete a mission. There is a sale on now at Uplay and Ghost Recon is down to approx £12, dont bother with the year 2 pass, you really don't get anything with it.

There is a difference though. With PC games you can usually do a very good job of working out if the game will be good, based on its prequels. Division 2 is better than the first, FC New Dawn well you already knew it was basically just more FC 5.

It's curve balls like FO76 that catch you out, but the bottom line is you can get a refund if you are really that bothered.

Bethesda knew what they were doing there, and I should have realised that by them handing over the most desirable item for any collector (the helmet) that they were doing so because the game itself was crap. I duly noticed there was no FO3 done in a new engine with the helmet included.....

Arkham Knight

I don't care if people pre-order. But I personally don't think it's worth it. Games these days are discounted after just a few weeks + they're patched + I avoid another Arkham Knight situation.

They don't always exist though. That was my point. People pre order Tesla 3s as a prime example and for guns well people pre order limited edition stuff all the time before they get released or recently larger magazines in California when the ban was temporarily lifted.

In those cases they are pre-ordering a product. My point was just that ordering something and pre-ordering isn't the same. It's not a relevant subject though.

Wildlands was the first game I played on my first self built PC. Was a 6700k and GTX1070 @2560x1440 and the game absolutely hammered it lol.

I played it solo but still thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I have PCMR-friends I hope to try out this new one in Coop.

To be fair that was a decent game, just appalling coding on the graphics side. I bet if you played it now it would be OK but yeah that was pretty bad at launch.
