Ubisoft Dev Confirms that The Division 2 will have an Open Beta

Have done both beta's so I might not do this done as it is just the same. However, against my initial thoughts I pre-ordered it since I found a good daily offer. I found myself interested and wanting to play more, both good signs and warrants a purchase.

Didn't get to play much of this last closed one. Only played one mission. Was alright I guess. Not much different than 1 as far as I can tell. Hopefully the Open Beta I can get more time in and more friends to play with, maybe that'll open my mind a bit more.

I found it very different from one. In big and small ways. It's nowhere near perfect but certainly an improvement in most areas in my opinion.

Same here. I didnt want to try the end game. To me it would ruin the experience. But I do like the build up of settlements to unlock things. It's a nice improvement.

I actually saw a decent FPS gain on SLI too. 40fps at times which really caught me off guard. Drawback is stability is terrible. Could almost guarantee it would crash within 30mins of gameplay.

Preordered it too which is something I never do.. but for someone who cant give up on Div1 I suppose its a worthy exception. My only gripe which I enjoyed from the first was the story. It had a cinematic concept (done before i know) but in the sequel it just drops you into the chaos. For someone not having played the first, they might be left confused. I know its private beta, but a little continuation would have been nice.

either way, it seemed from early beta to this one.. they have improved alot. I still hate with disgust, their awful backdrop design on the menu though. Its so distracting.

The sniper turret.. oh wow I loved it

I'm not a 100% hooked after trying the end game characters.
But i'm gonna give the open beta another go, as i haven't had the time to try the closed beta that much. Went almost strait to the end game, and played the same mission a couple of times.

They'll have a cinematic opening in the final version for sure.

I tried two specializations, all but the crossbow (no time) and it was pretty interesting solo and not easy. It seems just waves and waves of enemies which is a little off putting for me.

Disliked the sniper turret as it didn't work right for me.

I like the rifle catagory but feel some should've stayed ARs (SIG 716 etc.).

FPS on my system with good settings (let the game decide) yielded mostly 80, rarely 60.

I just tossed a sniper turret on a table then sat and watched it pick off enemies who were trying to interupt my radio mast repair. I think its needs retuning though. Its very good damage. Maybe too high, especially when it one shots some.

Mine just sat there waiting to be destroyed. Normal turret worked fine though.

Admittedly I used the repair drone for the end game mission. I feel the difficulty mostly came from the thrown together gear and fine tuning it would be more efficient.
