Tv antenna

Hi,

I have just bought a notebook with a Tv board integrated but the problem is the antenna: I would like to watch the tv everywhere in my house, without connecting anything to the pc.

In my house my pc is connected to a wireless net and I have a traditional antenna slot and a free satellite decoder with motorized parabola.

Exists something than let me see the traditional and satellite tv on my pc using the wireless connection?

I know that i could transmit in streaming but I need a pc connected to the antenna and a very fast net; it's expensive and I don't know if it is worth.

I know that there are audio and video repeaters (Cobra, Rimax, Philips) but they need power, It would be a good solution but the receiver would have to be something very little like a usb stick or a PCIMCI board but does it exist?

Thank you

I wonder if one of those programs that will broadcast tv over an ip, kinda like one of those "home media server" do.

Ofc this wouldn't use the laptops tuner, u'd have limited channel control and the quality would be debateable.

As to using the laptop's tuner... without walking around with a large wire coat-hanger jammed in the laptop, I'm not sure what kind of practical method for it. All I can think of is associated with having something non-portable that u would have to plug ur laptop into.

You should have a look at the HDHomeRun DVB-T Edition at Silicon Dust (http://www.wegotserved.co.uk/2009/04/02/hands-on-hdhomerun-dvb-t-edition/). It's a standalone DVB-t twin tuner, which you can access over the network using a client application, and any pc in your network can access. It's been available in the US for some time and it's only just been released in the UK. Potentially they might also do a DVBs one for satellite viewers which would suit your needs.
