Hi guys, I've recently just set up a PC and the i5-4670K idles at ~40C at stock settings with a Hyper 212 EVO. However, when I ran Prime95 for a few minutes, the highest temperature it reached was ~61C and that is with CPU-Z reporting it running at 3.8GHz. Where do I go to turn on power savings so that when the system is idle, it'll run at a much cooler temperature? My motherboard is a MSI Z87-G45.

You need to enable speed-step in the BIOS. It should be enabled by default.
That is the temps the will sit at. It will only be pulling about 0.3v at idle anyways
