TTL's SL600's

Very much looking forward to this, have to admit I'm a faux-carbon fibre fiend and the idea of using actual stuff has fascinated me for a while, I mostly like the clean minimalistic pattern too though I guess. But yeah, cars & computers are powerful anti-depressants, something very easy to get excited about and spend hours on.

We need a like button so bad :p

what type of carbon fibre are you planning on using? (which style weave pattern)

ive wanted to make a full carbon fibre version of the Corsair 780T or the Silverstone Raven 2 case but what with my other projects going on like the winter desk build and my summer Volkswagen Transporter rebuild i just dont have time at the moment to start anything else.

here is a Renault 5 GT Turbo badge i made a few years ago, sadly i can not find the photos of finished up and flow coated. all i can find is photos of it out the mould and then trimmed up but you get the idea. this is resin infused and not pre preg so it took a fair amount of time to get the weave straight.

Nice idea i'm looking forward to this one , i loved the corsair's prototype of 780t well except the colour ;)
As for an alternative name how about Phoenix maybe quite fitting

Still love proper carbon fibre. Looking forward to this dude that's a nice case to start with too :)

Or should I say start with two?

One will be white, one will be carbon.

The carbon is 2/2 twill and its infused not prepreg as we are laminating on top of the standard the standard panels to save tie and the fact we dont plan on doing loads of these.

Might be a one off, might end up making a couple others later, dont know yet. Depends how hard the lower roof panel 'arms' are down the side (long and thin so a pitfa)

My fave is yellow Kevlar. Do they do that also?

Just wondering like as I'm not doing another case mod for at least the foreseeable.

yer you can get very good surface finish with the infusion process. split mould the lower arms, you may need to use some spray tack to hold the fabric in place at the top while you place the vacuum bag and then once cured you could bond them on to the bottom of the case (they look to be screwed or riveted on to the bottom of the case rather than it all being one piece)

No... Must stop ideas getting into head... haha. I could see it working out very expensive !

Excited to see this. Love a bit of tech me and the way they make it is cool af.

Its not cheap, hard to DIY too. Getting all the consumables is bad enough, luckily thats all been borrowed from someones work place =00=
