SO i have 4gb of Corsair XMS3 1600mhz 9-9-9-24. Because i have a Crosshair formula III mobo i can only go up to 1600mhz but i want to make the timings better. I have never overclocked RAM before and want to make the timings better. does anyone have any experience with this RAM?

i would get memset and use it test tighter timings.

expect to see alot of bluescreens but dont let that bother you too much.

you might need to set cas in bios and can only use it to tweak the sub timings idk.

decide what is the most voltage you will give them and just try it out, there was a good guide on anand about timings and what is related to what, i would get to know that or have it open on another device.

edit

but no i have no exp with that ram :|

Hi mate, i have the same memory, when i was testing overclocks on my 1055t i had the memory running at 1750mhz at 1.67v and it was fine, never tried tighter timmings tho.

ive got the same ram, but never really mess with it tbh, i find messing with the ht speed you can max more mhz out of your ram.

been soo long since ive done that back with dual cores came out
