I am sitting in a fire riser room in the back of a big 5 right now. I'm posting via an EVDO wireless broadband connection from verizon. Its not the greatest thing in the world but it works anywhere you have a cellphone signal. Now mind you Im surrounded by cement on the wall to the outer world.. behind a metal door.. and all the other 3 walls are to the store so I'm not in an uberly signal friendly room.. my cellphone has 4 of 5 bars right now.. and oftentimes two.. same network as the broadband... i have 3 bars of signal which is not bad at all... but the surprise is that I just played CS:S with it. I was on a server that my home connection gives me between 45-70ms ping.. and i was getting 175ms with this... now this is a connection proven to not drop out while driving an automobile down the highway. Now I may not be able to test my theory till next week... but I think that the dream I had as a child pc gamer may be a reality. Playing an online shooter from the back seat of a speeding automobile!!! Anyone else with verizon EVDO or cingular EDGE(or is that tmoblile) lemme know your experiences... VIVA LA REVOLUCIONE!!!
