Lucky sod! They look alright though, however, I'm sure the battery would cop a flogging whilst away from the power point.

My mate is in PR, I should go to more of these things!

On the day, sli didn't work! The sli machine only had 1.5gb of ram instead of 2gb, I said, vista, sli - put 4 in... On the single card machine FEAR ran smoothly but STALKER etc would only run with settings turned down.

Considering the brief said these are desktop replacements, when asked 'what do you thing about them' I answered I could build a desktop for half the price that would smoke this lappy lol.

Battery - will play a HD movie for 3hrs... Not bad.

Edit: The sound on these units is AMAZING!

THats pretty sad, i run STALKER maxed out with 8xs AA and 16xAF @ 1440x900. What video card did it have when you played it?

8600GT, one with those in SLi, one with single. Both had Vista and were still ES - as in not ready for retail

Not questioning the power of the Laptop.. but tbh Toshiba Satelite laptops suck.

1 good thing I find is the feel of the keyboard, the rest seems like a brick.

The morale of this story is if you are a gamer don't buy a craptop.. I mean laptop, buy a desktop(or build one).

My friends Alienware kicks my desktops arse tbh. His 19" screen makes mine look like crap and his framerate and speed my desktop cannot match Its all in what you buy.
