cheers bro my issues are the 2 cards being next to each other=hot + pc shut down when in black ops hmm very strange.and im not convinced im getting the power of the too cards gaming as is fps barely noticable with unlocked fps on 115 - 130 with one card with 2 cards 150?my m8 has a 6850 and gets 185 on one gpu:/my advice 2 you is try and work thru the hydra stuff it should get better as it goes and maybe try the x mode instead of the fake sli options. Barring that if you do go another route send me a pm.
This might help some copied from Asus's website.
CrossLinx 3 Technology
[CrossLinx 3 Technology] [Hydra Logix Engine] Experience True Graphics Freedom
Lucid Hydra CrossLinx 3 makes it possible to combine multi-GPU graphics cards from any generation and vendor on the same motherboard. This gives PC users greater flexibility, and enables vastly increased performance, free of compatibility limitations.
Basically it does not allow for what we call SLI. It just allows for cross generation and vendor capability. I hope this helps some.

that one looks good Neil and it spaces the cards out nicely but just my opinion I would think going with an Nvidia chipset would lower the performance as those afaik are older tech. I may be wrong just a thought. lol guess not as they have sata6 and usb3
It has true dual X16 PCI-E slots that do not downgrade to dualX8 slots when there is more than one PCI-E card on the board. That's why it's one that I have saved for future purchase. I want it along with a Phenom-II 1090T Hex core CPU and a few GTX560Ti's to SLI together. I even earmarked RAM that's made exclusively for the Hex Core CPU's. (It's right here)
doubt that tall fin design would fit under a nh d-14 but I may try it as its priced right.
thx guys.im liking the space between the 2 cards. and its very cheap toolooks like my 3 week old ch iv will be going on ebay
