'Too slow'

What thats meant to mean then?

I turned my PC on like normal, went downstairs to have dinner and when I came back my PC was off and it said 'Too Slow' on the Mach II display

It wouldnt power back up until I pulled the plug on it and switched it back on.

It means that the compressor is taking too long to reach the boot temp. It's the first sign of a leak, or damage somewhere. Listen carefully - can you hear escaping gas coming from the compressor compartment?

I've only had it 4-5 months, bit soon for failures I think

I cannot hear anything unusual I have to say. It this gas likely to posion me, I have a small bedroom!

*Update*

Took the sides off, cannot hear any gas escaping. Everything looks clean and in order...

It's now telling me it's at critical temperature...

It was at -6 degree's when that started. Now it's back to -55, wtf is going on?!

In an ideal world it is a bit soon for failures but unfortunately the evap head is incredibly delicate and if you put any unecessary pressure on it when you change cpus or whatnot it can be easily damaged.

hmm keep an eye on it - is it working normally now, and do you power the unit down overnight or leave it running?

It wont turn on now

It was doing the usual temp countdown until it got to -26 degrees and then suddenly it went back to read at 6 degree's and wouldnt go down to lower than -4.

I know the chiller is working fine as last night when it was telling me it was at 1 degree my CPU was still running at -30oC!

So in other words all that expensive equipment is being misinformed somewhere along the lines. However I cannot turn my PC on now and it is very important to me that I get this resolved ASAP. I cannot work from home without it!

Can anyone help?

*Update* Now it's working again. Basically the problem seems to lay with a temperature sensor some place on the system. When that reads right there is no problem, PC switches on like normal and normal temps are read. When it doesnt the system wont boot due to misinformation and the alarms go off left, right and centre

Any suggestions Phil?

It's consistantly reading 35 degree's warmer than the real temp which means tomorrow it's not going to reach the -33 degree's needed to boot.

This morning the idle temp on the display reads at 78oC degrees of heat despite the fact the room temp is about 20oC and the evaporator is freezing and hasnt been on in over 12 hours

The probe is clearly the source of the problems. What are my options, is this covered by warrenty or did that die with Nventiv

Many thanks
