Lol!

I dont prefer either company over the other, whichever offers me the best value for money I will stick with. At the moment it is nVidia with the 8800GT, but when ATi's HD4XXX's come out, it will be the HD4870.

But yeah, the GTX2XX's are bound to drop in price as soon as the new cards from ATi come out.

Didn't ATI/AMD learn from their mistakes last time when the took the p155 out of the Dual-Core Intel shortly before the C2D was released.

especially when nvidia is actually proving to be better in alot of cases

kinda makes the new tech they are using a bit pointless lol

Agreed, ATI fans cannot sit around blabbing on about GDDR5 and the lark when Nvidia are still beating ATI with GDDR3. :)

Define 'better'.

As it stands, ATIs cards are performance at a price that Nvidia hasn't matched. Given that the 4870 & X2 are good ill be recommending them on cost:performance. Yes 280 GTX is powerful but its not twice as powerful, and its more than twice the price.

I'll be interested to see GTX 260 results form our labs however...

I am a bit of a Nvidia fan boy but luckily I dont intend on buying another graphics card anytime soon so ATI's dominance wont affect me.

Although I must say it is nice to see more competition than when Nvidia owned the market with the 8800 series.
