time to upgrade which MB and processor

ok looking at up grading the two Processors are looking at are either the Intel:

INTEL E6850 1333FSB

INTEL Q6600 1066FSB

Mother boards I am thinking about unless someone has more suggestions:

ASUS P5KC LGA775 P35 1333

INTEL DQ35JOE P35 1333

Both these are available at a local dealer but I know their maybe be better choice out there online so thought I ask .

my video card at current is a g force 7950 512 MB

I'd go quad tbh, I've had some success with my Q6600 G0 (make sure you get a G0 stepping) I've been able to overclock too the same level as my old E6600.

Bang for buck it's a steal!!

As far as the motherboard goes I'd probably opt for the Asus as mine have always been reliable (touches wood) though I'm sure others will have their own experiences re. Asus.
