This is the newest style...

So what is actually happening?? A vat of ice onto a copper base? But its on the back of the card? Or is it cooling the CPU by giving it really cool air? Bit dangerous likeee lol.. haha..

could someone with a spare hour or three post one of them via the OC3D server?

imageshack makes me cry

What is happening here? A pot of ice as in solid water not dice, sat on a gfx card? Surely that is pointless and liabel to get wet?

Crazyness

That looks like Leadtek's 6800GT, some of the best cards ever made!

example, mine :)

Ohh!.. Come on buddy.. That the coolest pot ever made...

Besides cost it is effective if enough care is taken.

X-5 C @max load, X-15 C @idle for the GPU...

Pot is made of pure aliminum and that gives it full-conductivity.

By the way it effects both CPU(%20) and GPU(%80).

Ice inside the bottle must be replaced at each half an hour, cuz

it melts and its temperature rise to room temperature.

:nono:

Aye that's the one! I mutilated a couple of em to fit on my old Epox board, those were the days.

thats my main graphics card in my main rig, at the moment :)

my other rig has a 9800 pro, both good cards, but nothing on the new stuff anymore :(

ah well, i dont game much, so it should be fine :)

I'm right there with ya mate. I'm only running an X850XT now which is only slightly better than a 6800GT. I love it though, it runs my MMO's smoothly on max settings and that's all that concerns me at present. :)

i had one of those X800GTO2 cards, which i unlocked to an X850 and it was a damn nice card tbh, it kept overheating with the stock heatsink, so i put a artic cooler on it, and voila :D

but that was a long time ago, that was in my amd athlon 64 4000+ project ...which i guess would stil be quite good now, if i'd kept it...would also be full of dust though lol:rolleyes:

EDIT: and sorry for thread jacking btw:p

So am i right in saying thats an aluminium pot with DICE sat on top of the GPU next to the CPU, cooling them to sub-zero?

Nice tbh :D

yeah right you are... Notice that both CPU and GPU are overclocked and there is no need for extra cooling...

Ambiant temp here @ southeast Europe approximately 34 C degrees in the morning. So add this parameter into account and look at the big picture.

It damn works dude...:worship:

Cheap + Simple + Feeds the need = ART of engineering :beerchug:

Athlon XP 2500+ @ 3200 ? using 1.5g (3 sticks ??) :eh:

Athlon XP (Barton Core) 2500+ [1833 Mhz rided @ 2200 mhz]

an old CPU is it?

and finally 1.5 GB RAM yepp 3 sticks (512x3)

anything else:confused: ??
