third party intel kit

Did a third party every make an intel kit?

I notice my m8s mach1 on socket A, he doesn't have to remove the mobo to take the CPU out!

I don't think so. I don't know of any third parties that made kits for Prometeia units. The Athlon XP (Socket A) kit does deviate from the design of the others as the metal clip unlike on others just attaches onto the clips of the socket. This means you can just remove the Head unit and little plastic bracket then remove the Metal clip from the socket and remove the CPU, as the kit does not need to be screwed down as it just clips onto the socket instead.

yea this is a nice thing, makes swapping in another CPU, just for fun so much easier,

got borrred and stuck a xp3200 in takes as much time as removing a standard heatsink :)

found that i can get 254 (508Mhz :O ) post, thats was exciting but wasnt stable until i backed it all the way down to 230 which was nice but then i had a low cpu speed due to locked multiplier, can only achieve 210 stable with the 2400, i a dont know if fsb is a hard thing to push, i thought it was no diff then upping the cpu speed but experimenting seems to indicate that the chip can also be a factor as at 1Ghz on the 2400 i can bench at 230 Mhz stable.
